PORTFOLIO
This project was a newly formed yacht club designed into a clubhouse on the shore of Long Island Sound. The client specifically wants to take advantage of the views of the sound and the distant Connecticut shore. In addition, the Yacht Club holds a yearly, season-opening.
"MARINE SHELL"
"AXONOMETRIC VIEWS"
This structure is a conceptual drawing that resembles a house with requested features from the family. It is kept black and white to avoid confusion of being in an actual house, focusing on how various types of spaces were created. The concept was harmonious living between the portrait painter and family residence for three.
"HARMONY"
The client wanted a modern house but an abstract structure that would catch anyone's eye. By having different roof elevations, it gives the illusion that the building is separated. The two types of exterior materials provide a natural earth tone that gives off a calm and uplifting atmosphere. The elevated stair design allows one to gaze at the living room connected to the kitchen. Glass panels were incorporated around the entire structure to provide natural light within the rooms.
